Todorović Doodle White
Winery: Aleksandar Todorović
Classification: Dry White Wine
Varietals: 90% Grašac, 10% Tamjanika
Appellation: Tri Morave, Ražanj, Serbia
Annual Production: 4,560 bottles
Alcohol: 11.89%
Climate: Warm continental climate characterized by warm-to-hot, dry summers, cool winters and cool nights during the growing season. The significant diurnal temperature variation, particularly toward harvest, allows for full ripening while preserving acidity, freshness and aromatic intensity.
Terrain: Vineyards located at Ciglana (planted 1999) and Morava (planted 2015), with southwest, east, and north-facing exposures. The soils are a mixture of smonica (clay), sand, and limestone.
Farming: Certified Organic, following biodynamic principles
Vinification: Hand harvested on August 28 and September 12. Grapes are directly pressed without maceration and fermented in open fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged in stainless steel (1,000 L). No stabilization or filtration and minimal S02.
Tasting Notes: Like the playful drawings of a child, the Doodle wines are intended to be simple and pure expressions of unadulterated joy. Doodle white is fresh and floral, with fresh aromas of peach, green apple, kiwi and peony, with a layered but zippy palate of apricot, peach, pithy graprefuit and subtle salted-basil on the finish. Enjoy on its own with a box of pastels or on the side of a game of Twister.
Winery Information
Todorović
Aleksandar Todorović was born the same year as the vineyards he now tends, when his father planted them in 1995. Aleksandar spent his childhood amongst the vines, playing in the rows and even taking his first steps amongst the grapes. He and the vineyards grew together, so it is natural that Aleksandar’s love for viticulture and winemaking endured into his later years.
