Vinification: This Škrlet sparkling wine is crafted from a 2018 vintage base wine. Following primary fermentation in stainless steel, the wine underwent a second fermentation in bottle according to the traditional method. It was then aged on its lees for approximately seven years, from 2018 to 2025, allowing it to develop depth, complexity and refined varietal character. The wine was disgorged in winter 2026 and subsequently released to the market.

Tasting Notes: It is always Tomislav and Antonija’s goal to showcase the electric energy of the Škrlet grape, in all forms. Fraktal is a special treat, getting to see the complex character of the varietal after years of lees aging, as well as the lively nature of the wine wrapped in fine bubbles after undergoing the champagne method process.

An elegant and complex wine, Fraktal immediately offers aromas of fresh apple and pear with delicate notes of brioche, freshly baked bread, and subtle dried and honeyed fruits. On the palate, it is refined and creamy, with fine, persistent bubbles, vibrant freshness and a long, elegant finish. A distinctive expression of Škrlet in a classic Champagne-inspired style showcasing the immense diversity this incredible grape can take on.

In so many forms, Fraktal can be enjoyed alongside many occasions or dishes, anywhere from aperitif celebrations to Hamachi crudo and cold-water oysters, to richer dishes like pan-seared scallops, roasted mountain trout, or veal chop with mushroom sauce.
