Climate: Continental, with dry and hot summers, and cold, snowy winters

Terrain: Volcanic and sandy soils with white clay stones, on a bedrock of slate and granite.

Farming: Sustainable viticulture and accordance with integrated farming guidelines.

Vinification: Hand-picked. Destemmed and pressed with 7-14 days of skin maceration with spontaneous fermentation. Racked and 4-6 months aging on fine lees in stainless steel. Lightly sulphured. Minimum necessary filtration before bottling in February 2023.

Tasting Notes: Wild fermented Frankovka makes for a gluggable Slavonian red that’s perfect for grilling in the summertime! Fruity nose offering cherry, red apple, and nutmeg, followed by a crunchy pallet bursting with tart red cherry, red berries, and eastern spices, balanced with lively acidity, gentle tannins and easy drinkability. Tremendous summer red for doing all the red-wine summer things related to relaxing: bonfires, seaside grilling, evenings in the hammock – no pretension permitted!
